Royal Ascot, Father’s Day and portrait picture time! – Week 12 (June 2010)

After a busy week last week this week was no exception, all good as time is moving! This weekend would all be about family and also my dad for Father’s Day. Started on Friday with a treat for us all, heading into Marlow to get some family portrait pictures taken. We had a really fun time (despite none of us like having pics taken!), will be back for the preview of them in July and see if there are any shots we will buy.

Saturday was time for Royal Ascot Races – we were all so excited, it’s something we have all wanted to do but just never done, well God has given us that chance with me coming back to the UK. Every moment was special and people were so accommodating for dad which was lovely. We got to tour the grandstand, watch the Queen arrive in the Royal Precession, get close to the horses and watch races. My heart was full of joy and mum and dad didn’t stop smiling the whole day – thank you Lord :)

Sunday was Father’s Day and we took dad for a lovely brunch (no pancakes though!) at a golf course nearby. Again we got to spend quality family time together; its moments like these that I shall always treasure and the time will never be taken away from us.
